It is used on cracked hooves and open wounds where a protective layer is needed, and it also helps defend treated areas from biting insects during vulnerable periods.The spray format makes it easier to apply an even coat without using a brush or handling thicker tar by hand. That makes it useful in busy yards, on animals that will not stand long, or where quick treatment is preferred.
