Item Description
Matrix Calf Clear is a preventative calf health product containing IgY antibodies specifically developed to protect newborn calves against the five most common causes of calf scours: E. coli, Salmonella, Rotavirus, Coronavirus, Cryptosporidium. When administered within the first 8 hours of life, Calf Clear helps support the calf’s gut defence at a time when it is most vulnerable.
Unlike treatments used once scouring begins, Calf Clear is designed to be given at birth as a preventative measure, working alongside good colostrum management. The antibodies act locally in the gut, helping neutralise pathogens before they can establish infection. Early-life scour is one of the biggest causes of calf illness, poor growth and mortality.
By supporting the calf’s immune protection in the first hours of life, Calf Clear helps reduce the risk of diarrhoea, dehydration and setbacks during the critical neonatal period.
