2. Position the applicator in the correct location on the animal's ear, avoiding major blood vessels and cartilage ridges.
3. Squeeze the handles firmly in one smooth motion to apply the tag, then release and check that both tag components are securely fastened.
4. Clean the applicator regularly and inspect the pin for wear, replacing it when necessary to ensure accurate tag application.
