15% Hydrated Cubicle Lime is a high-performance antibacterial bedding lime designed to improve hygiene, cow comfort and herd health in livestock housing. Produced using high calcium limestone sourced from McGraths Quarry, Cong, Co. Mayo, this hydrated blend delivers superior absorbency and rapid pH elevation to inhibit bacterial growth. Cubicle lime is one of the most effective management tools farmers can use to reduce the spread of infection within the herd. The addition of 15% hydrated lime significantly boosts bacterial kill, helping to deactivate the bacteria responsible for environmental mastitis, the most common bacterial infection in dairy cattle. A single application reacts immediately to raise cubicle bed pH, creating a hostile environment for pathogens while leaving bedding cleaner, drier and more comfortable for livestock. The finely ground material provides maximum surface area coverage without grit particles, ensuring even distribution and excellent absorbency. This product is suitable for use across a wide range of livestock buildings and offers additional value when applied to land, contributing lime to soil when spread with slurry.
