5. Types of Cookies We Use
5.1 Technical / Functional Cookies
Some cookies ensure that certain parts of the website work properly and that your user preferences remain known. By placing functional cookies, we make it easier for you to visit our website. This way, you do not need to repeatedly enter the same information when visiting our website, and your items remain in your shopping cart until you have paid. We may place these cookies without your consent.
5.2 Statistics Cookies
We use statistics cookies to optimise the website experience for our users. With these statistics cookies we get insights into the usage of our website. We ask your permission to place statistics cookies.
5.3 Marketing / Tracking Cookies
Marketing and tracking cookies are used to create a user profile to show you advertising or to track you on this website or across several websites for similar marketing purposes. We ask your permission before placing these cookies.
6. Cookies We Use
Functional (always on)
These cookies are strictly necessary to operate the site and cannot be turned off. No consent is required under the ePrivacy Regulations.
| Cookie | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|
| Session cookie | Signs your browser session and keeps you logged in between requests. | 2 hours idle |
| XSRF-TOKEN | Cross-site request forgery protection for forms and cart actions. | 2 hours idle |
| feirm_cookie_consent | Remembers the choice you made in the cookie banner so we do not ask again on every visit. | 12 months |
| Basket data | Stores your basket contents while you are not signed in. Held server-side against the session cookie above — no separate browser cookie. | Tied to the session cookie |
Statistics (only with your consent)
Set by Google Analytics 4 to help us understand how the site is used. Only placed after you accept “Statistics” in the cookie banner.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google LLC | Distinguishes unique visitors by assigning a randomly-generated identifier. | 2 years |
| _ga_DXCG95VF16 | Google LLC | Persists session state and the ecommerce funnel events (product views, add-to-cart, purchases) for this specific Analytics property. | 2 years |
If you decline Statistics, Google Analytics still receives anonymous, cookieless “pings” that are used only for aggregated modelling — no identifier is stored on your device and you are not tracked across sessions or sites. This behaviour is provided by Google Consent Mode v2.
Google Analytics may transfer data to servers operated by Google LLC in the United States. Google is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission recognises as providing an adequate level of data protection for these transfers.
Marketing
We do not currently place any marketing or advertising cookies on this site. If that changes we will update this policy and ask for your consent through the cookie banner before any such cookie is set.
7. Consent
When you first visit the site we show you a cookie banner with three options:
- Accept all — allows Statistics and Marketing categories.
- Reject non-essential — only Functional cookies are set. This is also what happens if you dismiss the banner with the × button.
- Manage preferences — opens per-category checkboxes so you can accept Statistics without Marketing, or vice versa, then click “Save preferences”.
Before you make a choice, no statistics or marketing cookies are placed on your device. Your choice is remembered for 12 months in the feirm_cookie_consent cookie, and you can change it at any time by clearing that cookie from your browser or by contacting us at the address in Section 10.
8. Enabling, Disabling & Deleting Cookies
You can use your internet browser to automatically or manually delete cookies. You can also specify that certain cookies may not be placed. Another option is to change the settings of your internet browser so that you receive a message each time a cookie is placed. For more information about these options, please refer to the instructions in the Help section of your browser.
Please note that our website may not work properly if all cookies are disabled. If you do delete the cookies in your browser, they will be placed again after your consent when you visit our website again.
